1. Information We Collect
Information you provide
- Account information: name, email address, phone number, password, and profile photo when you create an account.
- Content you create: events, messages, polls, photos shared in threads, and other content you post inside your groups.
- Support communications: messages you send us through the in-app support form or via email.
Information we collect automatically
- Device and usage information: device type, operating system, app version, and basic usage events necessary to operate the service.
- Push notification tokens: if you enable push notifications, we store the device token needed to deliver them.
- IP address: used for security, rate limiting, and verifying invite-code redemptions.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Quorum service.
- Authenticate your account and keep it secure.
- Send transactional emails (password resets, important account notices) and push notifications you've opted into.
- Respond to your support requests.
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms of Service.
- Comply with legal obligations.
3. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in these limited cases:
- Within your groups: content you post in a group is visible to other members of that group.
- Service providers: we use trusted third parties to operate Quorum, including Replit and Google Cloud Platform (hosting and database), Expo Push Service (push notifications), and Gmail (transactional email delivery). These providers process information only on our instructions.
- Legal requirements: we may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Quorum, our users, or the public.
- Business transfers: if Modern Foundations Inc. is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you and provide choices before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
4. Data Retention
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Content within events (messages, photos, polls) is retained for 30 days after the event ends, then deleted. You can delete your account at any time from within the app, which will remove your personal information from active systems within 30 days, subject to limited exceptions for fraud prevention, legal compliance, and backup retention.
5. Your Rights and Choices
You can:
- View and update most of your account information directly in the app.
- Delete your account from the app's settings.
- Control push notifications in your device settings.
- Request a copy of any information not viewable in-app by emailing alex@quorumapp.ai.

We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. To exercise any of these rights, email alex@quorumapp.ai.
6. Children's Privacy (COPPA)
Quorum is intended for users 13 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
